They should not be so low and heavy boned as to appear coarse or overdone. They look bold, but kindly. They have an intelligent and interested expression.

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a hardy, highly intelligent, obedient, protective, and devoted dog. They are extremely active and devoted little dogs. They should be properly socialized and trained when they are still young.

Corgies do great with considerate children.

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi can be aggressive with other males but other than that they do fine with other pets.

Pembroke will do fine in an apartment if they are sufficiently exercised. This breed is very active indoors and will do okay without a yard.

This breed are naturally very active little dogs, who should always be encouraged to remain active.

Required:
The Pembrokes soft, medium-length coat is easy to groom. Comb and brush with a firm bristle brush, and bathe only when necessary. Their coat should be shed twice a year.
