This breed is an impressive broad-chested bulldog with an imposing mastiff presence. The head is massive but not excessively wrinkled, appearing more like a Canary Dog. The coat is short and smooth.

Trainability: The Ca de Bou is an extremely courageous, independent dog with a combative personality. This breed is strong-minded but obedient if properly reared from puppy hood. This breed is not for the causal pet owner.
With Children: This breed is an unsuitable child’s companion.
Other Pets: The Ca de Bou usually is dog aggressive and should not be trusted with other pets.
Climate: This breed adapts well to all climates.
Indoor / Outdoor: The Ca de Bou does best with good sized yard.
