The Border Terrier is the smallest and least flashy of the Terriers. He has an otterlike head with a short sturdy muzzle and scissors bite. Eyes are dark, with a lively expression. Ears are small , V-shaped, falling forward. Tail is thick but not long, carried cheerfully. His limbs are not heavy-boned. Coat is thick and dense, with a thick undercoat.
