The coat of the Blue Lacy is smooth, tight, sleek, exceptionally clean in appearance. The origin of the unusual slate blue coat and nose is a genetic rarity. All Lacy’s have minimal to full white markings on their brisket and most of the time on paw or paws. All Blue Lacy’s eyes are a very bright and distinctive orange color.

Trainability: Lacy’s are easy to handle and spectacular workers. This breed is very sensitive to yelling and responds better to stern or soft commands. They are energetic and dedicated dogs, who are capable of handling the meanest longhorn cattle, taking their job instinctively, requiring no training.
With Children: Blue Lacy’s are wonderful with children.
Other Pets: Lacy’s do well with other pets if properly socialized.
Climate: Lacy’s do well in all climates.
Indoor / Outdoor: They adapt well to all living conditions. They make good housedogs, but also love being outdoors.
Exercise Required: The Lacy needs lots of attention and exercise, as most working breeds do.
